Problem / Challenge

E-commerce sellers in Jaipur wanted biodegradable mailers but suppliers quoted MOQs we could not afford as students. We saw a gap for compostable packaging tailored to small D2C brands.

What I Did

We validated with 15 shop owners, prototyped cassava-starch blends in a college lab, and ran a 500-unit pilot with two local skincare brands. Customer feedback reshaped our sizing and print options.

Results

EcoBox now serves 40 recurring clients, crossed ₹8 lakh ARR in year one, and secured angel interest after a Rajasthan startup showcase.

Advice for Others

Talk to customers before perfecting the product. Our first batch looked great but tore in monsoon humidity — fixing that taught us more than any business plan competition.
